Painting a Li'l Landscape
Here's a video I did to accompany my demonstration classes. The Cork's and Canvas crew at the sorority house was fun--even though a couple of the ladies were concentrating on the "corks" as much as they were the "canvas." :-)

Before the Sermon
Portrait of my husband studying his notes before a sermon.
I was experimenting with the texture tools. I'm not fond of my background here but now I know what to do on the next one. It's fun to experiment with the tools and the brush tool really helped with the hair. I may go back in and make changes on this one although Mom Michael, my mother-in-law, loves it as it is.

Day Out with Poppy
"Day Out with Poppy" is a pencil drawing from
September 1998. It's about my dad and my daughter's relationship. She was the only
grandchild for seven years. If we were in the same city, as long as he
could drive---and she is the only grandchild who can
remember when he could-- they were on the road together playing at the
park, going to the store for forbidden treats or anywhere.
Roles reversed when she was older, as he could no longer walk or feed himself, she did that for him until he passed away in 2007. This is the only piece of my art in my family room. The glass was cracked as it was transported from an exhibit. I have to choose just the right frame before having it remounted.
